Service and delivery was good, however I feel the quality of the badges was disappointing and poorer quality than those I have bought in the past from other suppliers. the rank was a separate insert stuck to the badge and was not a good fit. I will not be using this supplier in the future.
I’ve already had one of the seven R.H. metal fronds drop off; the gold fringing around the edge of the apron and flap is already fraying and quite uneven compared with many others I saw at the Investiture. The ‘lyre’ badge is a very squat shape compared with my expectations and in comparison with the adjacent organist’s apron at the Investiture, and, best of all, I couldn’t tighten it sufficiently (I’m a 30″-32″ waist) and it kept loosening and trying to fall down as I was walking. Not good – still I suppose you only get what you pay for. . . .
The collar is acceptable.
There was no link to hook onto the collar and the hole in the jewel was too small for the clip on the collar to fit through, so I wasn’t very impressed with the quality to be honest. I had to sort it myself which wasn’t particularly hard, but you don’t expect to have do that with a new item.
I peeled back hoping to reveal the usual stickiness but it was as dry as a bone and I had to use Bostik to stick it to the apron. Obviously you rarely sell a Staffordshire PrGSW! Fine apart from this.
